Both managers and installation engineers at Fire Barrier Services are FIRAS trained in the selection and application of passive fire protection systems. Workmanship on site is continually monitored by FIRAS through random site inspections and audit checks of the project quality management systems. The company is also a member of the ASFP (Association of Specialist Fire Protection), which is the UK trade association representing the interests of this industry sector. The ASFP promotes continuous improvement in all aspects of the fire protection industry, along with education and training of all those involved in the development, specification and use of passive fire protection systems.
Fire Barrier Services are also certified by Constructionline, which is the UK Register of Qualified Construction Services. This certification ensures Fire Barrier Services have reached the required technical, managerial and financial standards as laid down by the Construction Directorate of the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions.
